Crossing Boundaries Conservation Scientist Information and ApplicationCrossing Boundaries is an NSF-funded project that aims to inspire middle and high school students to learn about the science of biodiversity conservation and about related careers. One aspect of this project is use of selected Cornell graduate students as role models. Each year, two Cornell graduate students who are conducting intriguing conservation-related research will be selected as Crossing Boundaries Conservation Scientists. Video-based vignettes will be created to portray these students conducting field research, highlight their use of technology in conducting and communicating about their research, and relate how they developed interest in their area of study and the choices they made to get where they are today. These graduate students will correspond with Crossing Boundaries classes during the school year via web-based communications, preferably from their field settings if scheduling permits. Conservation Scientist Application Responsibilities of Graduate Student Scientists Please submit this application by campus mail or email to Nancy Trautmann by Friday Oct 2nd, 2009. Nancy Trautmann
